Why ByteSell beats SendOwl

SendOwl takes no cut of your sales, and its plans cap your annual volume instead. The $39 Launch plan stops at 5,000 orders and $10,000 in revenue, Grow sits above it at $87 and Scale at $159, and crossing a line triggers an automatic upgrade. A good month can change your bill without you touching anything.

ByteSell charges 0% with no order count and no revenue line to watch, on a free plan and two paid ones, whether you ship a hundred orders or a hundred thousand. Payments go straight to your own Stripe, PayPal or crypto wallet, and subscriptions, coupons, affiliates and license-key delivery are all included from day one.

Why sellers leave SendOwl

Launch is $39 a month for 5,000 orders and $10,000 of sales a year. Grow is $87 for 25,000 orders and $36,000. Scale is $159 for 50,000 orders and $100,000. The measurement runs on a rolling twelve months, and crossing a line triggers an automatic upgrade rather than a warning.

Bandwidth over the plan allowance costs $1 a gigabyte, and the advertised unlimited storage stops at 1 TB. SendOwl’s own pricing page disagrees with itself on the bandwidth numbers, with the plan cards saying 10, 20 and 50 GB and the FAQ underneath saying 20, 30 and 50.

One smaller thing to know before you start: SendOwl’s own pages disagree about the trial. Its help center says 7 days and requires a card, while its terms, last updated March 2025, say the first month is free. Neither is hidden, and they cannot both describe what you are signing up for.

The caps are the reason most people end up here, and the shape of them matters more than the numbers. Because the window rolls across twelve months, one strong season keeps counting against you long after it ends, and because crossing a line triggers the upgrade automatically, the bill changes before you have decided anything. A plan that reprices itself off your best month is worth understanding before the best month arrives.

On structure, SendOwl is the fairest deal in this dataset after ByteSell. No percentage, no funds held, no chargeback fee, and every feature on every plan.

No. Its help center states that SendOwl does not process payments, hold funds, or take a percentage. You pay your own Stripe or PayPal directly.

SendOwl states you are notified and upgraded. Order and sales volumes are calculated over a trailing twelve months.

The help center says 7 days and requires a card. SendOwl’s terms, last updated March 2025, instead say the first month is free, so the two sources disagree.
