How Sellfy’s fees work

Sellfy really does charge nothing on the sale itself, so the cost hides somewhere else entirely: in how much the plan permits you to sell.

The zero is genuine

No cut comes off a sale on any Sellfy plan, and every payment lands straight in your own account the moment a buyer pays. Nothing sits in a balance waiting to be released.

The subscription is a sales allowance

Each plan carries a ceiling on your revenue for the year. The monthly fee buys permission to sell as much as it buys features, so growth alone can push you onto the next tier up.

The ceiling never resets

Sellfy measures your revenue over the previous year on a rolling basis, so a strong launch keeps weighing on the limit long after the month ends. No date arrives when the meter clears.

Past the limit, a cut appears

Sell beyond the ceiling and Sellfy charges a percentage on every further order until you upgrade. Do well enough and the platform with no per-sale fee starts taking one after all.

What Sellfy charges on a sale

Every rate the calculator uses, linked to the Sellfy page it came from. The Sellfy alternatives list quotes the same charges in Sellfy’s own words, with the dates each one was read, and says where its sellers go.

Under the plan ceiling, no. Sellfy states a zero transaction fee on all of its plans, and that holds for as long as your rolling yearly revenue stays inside what the plan allows. What you pay is the subscription, which is why the monthly sales figure above matters more here than the price of any one product.

An overage fee lands on every individual order placed after you cross the limit, and it keeps landing until you move to a higher plan. Sellfy documents the charge on its own help pages, quoted in the breakdown below. Set your monthly sales above past the plan’s ceiling to watch it appear in the figure.

It does not reset on a date. Sellfy totals your sales over the previous twelve months on an ongoing basis, so revenue only stops counting against you as it ages out of that window. A seller hovering near the ceiling can stay near it for a long time even after sales slow down.

No. Sellfy’s own docs say customer payments arrive in your accounts immediately, with no waiting for payouts and nothing to withdraw. There is no minimum balance to clear and no holding period, because the money never passes through Sellfy at all. That is a real point in its favour and it is quoted below.

You can build the store, and that is the extent of it. Sellfy disables checkout for the whole trial, so no payment can be collected until you are on a paid plan. The trial shows you what your storefront looks like without ever proving that it sells.

Nothing per sale, on every plan including the free one, and there is no revenue ceiling anywhere, so no amount of selling triggers a charge or forces an upgrade. What the free plan limits is headroom rather than rates: 500 MB of storage, files up to 50 MB, and no custom domain until Pro.
