The seller fee is set by tier and by nothing else. It runs on the free plan, and it stays on the first paid plan too, so a monthly bill alone does not remove it.
Making it zero is a purchase
The tiers that drop the fee entirely charge a real subscription for the privilege. Whether that upgrade pays for itself depends on your volume, which is exactly the sum the calculator above does.
Subscriptions live behind the upgrade
Memberships are the only recurring product Beacons sells, and its help centre restricts them to Creator Plus. Selling monthly access means carrying that plan whatever the fee arithmetic says.

What Beacons charges on a sale
Every rate the calculator uses, linked to the Beacons page it came from. The Beacons alternatives list quotes the same charges in Beacons’s own words, with the dates each one was read, and says where its sellers go.
On the free plan and the Creator plan, Beacons takes a percentage of every sale as its seller fee. On Creator Plus and Creator Max it takes nothing per sale and charges the monthly subscription instead. Not on its own. The Creator plan carries the same seller fee as the free plan on top of its monthly price, and the fee only disappears at Creator Plus and above. That step in the ladder is the single most surprising thing about Beacons pricing, and the calculator above lets you compare tiers directly.
Only through Memberships, and the Beacons help centre states they are available solely on the Creator Plus plan. If recurring revenue is the business, the cheaper tiers are not an option, so the plan cost belongs in your maths from the start. The quote is in the fee breakdown below.
No. Beacons documents that funds from each sale are transferred directly to the payment account you connect, and that it never directly handles your financial information. There is no platform balance and no minimum to clear, though its help centre notes that bank-account payments settle on a slower schedule than the rest.
It is a working storefront: you can list unlimited digital products, and an email tool is included with a monthly send allowance that grows as you upgrade. What you trade for it is the seller fee on every sale, and a custom domain stays out of reach until the Creator plan.
Nothing per sale, on any plan, the free one included, and there is no tier you have to climb to before that becomes true. The free plan is limited in headroom instead of rates: 500 MB of storage, a 50 MB ceiling on the largest file you can sell, and a custom domain arrives with Pro.
